The Mountain View Fire Protection District had several pieces of life-saving equipment stolen, including the Jaws of Life used to free people from vehicle collisions.

The burglary happened Thursday night at Mountain View’s Station 1 on Bradbury Road in rural Turlock.

“We are still taking inventory of all that was stolen, they took our vehicle extrication equipment (Jaws of life) and rescue saw off of our engine,” the fire department wrote on their Facebook page.

All the equipment is labeled property of Mountain View Fire.
