Girl, 12, arrested for brandishing knife at school

A school yard argument ended with a 12-year-old Turlock girl being taken to Juvenile Hall after she threatened another child with a knife, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The incident happened shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday at Turlock Junior High School.

The 12-year-old and another classmate were in a verbal argument when the 12-year-old pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the other student, according to the police report.

School staff confiscated the knife prior to the police officers’ arrival and no injuries were reported.

The 12-year-old was booked into Juvenile Hall for possessing a knife on campus, brandishing the knife and terrorist threats.
