A Turlock man who made more than 50 vulgar and obscene calls to the Turlock Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch over the course of two days ended up being arrested by officers on Tuesday.

The suspect, Vincent Lewis, 53, was arrested on suspicion of making annoying phone calls, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

Between Monday and Tuesday, Lewis made 53 phone calls to the non-emergency line.

“Each time he would use vulgar language towards the dispatchers and then hang up,” Holeman said.

Officers had a general idea where Lewis was making the calls from and went out to check. He was found in the 1100 block of N. Golden State Blvd. and taken into custody without incident.
