A Merced Area California Highway Patrol officer collided with another vehicle during a pursuit of a suspect Monday evening. Neither of the parties involved in the collision sustained significant injuries, according to the CHP. The incident began around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the area of 4th Street and Acacia Street in Merced. The officer, identified as Josef Eshraghi, 29, was in pursuit of a suspect on a motorcycle.
