A man seen exposing himself near a Turlock school was taken into police custody after being placed under citizen’s arrest.

The Turlock Police Department was contacted by parents of students at Dennis Earl Elementary after some of them witnessed a man exposing his genitals at the neighboring park around 3:30 p.m. Friday. A witness saw him expose himself and then urinate on a tree, according to the police report.

Officers found John Joseph Connelley III , 66, of Vallecito in the nearby area on E. Springer Drive.

The witness requested a citizen’s arrest and Connelley was taken into custody. He was later cited for indecent exposure and released, the police department reported.
