The Turlock Police Department concluded its investigation into the death of four family members on Red Oak Court in June.

The investigation found that Rodney Bowman,39,  who also went by the name of Radni Babakhan at some point, stabbed his parents to death.

Fire investigators from the Turlock Fire Department, a forensic pathologist and deputy coroners from the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office determined that Sarkis Babakhan, 78, and Rozmary Babakhan, 70, died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Bowman died as a result of exposure to smoke and toxic chemicals generated from a fire which had been intentionally set within the home. Investigators also found that exposure to the smoke from that fire also killed Robert Babakhan, 42, who was disabled.

The family was found deceased in their Red Oak Court home on the night of June 26 by a relative who was visiting the home out of concern that she had not seen or heard from any of the family for some time. The family had been deceased for more than 24 hours when they were discovered.
