Man shot in parked vehicle

A man sustained a gunshot wound while in his vehicle Saturday night in Turlock.

The shooter has not been apprehended and the investigation is ongoing.

The Turlock Police Department got a call around 10:40 p.m. Saturday stating a man had been shot and he was currently in the 1400 block of S. First Street.

Officers responded to the scene and learned the victim had actually been shot in the 200 block of N. Soderquist Road and had driven to S. First Street to get help, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle had been shot at and one of the bullets hit the victim while inside. The victim was treated by ambulance personnel and transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
