A Turlock man was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, after he and another man created a loud disturbance at the Motel 6.

The police department received a call around 12:13 a.m. Saturday about two men standing outside a motel room and repeatedly banging on the outside window of a room. The caller also reported seeing a handgun in the waistband of one of the men.

According to Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, when officers arrived they were unable to find the suspects.

A little while later, a witness to the incident called the police to report that the men were back at the motel. When police returned to the motel, they located the men and arrested Joshua Anderson, 28 of Turlock, for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
