New CEO for Merced court

The new Chief Executive Officer of Merced County Superior Court is Linda Romero Soles, a former Turlock resident.

Soles was appointed to the position Monday. She comes with 31 years of experience in the judicial system, with the last 20 years at the Stanislaus County Superior Court. She has also worked for the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Soles received a graduate degree in Public Administration with a Certificate in Judicial Administration from the University of Southern California. She is also a graduate of the Institute for Court Managements Court Executive Development Program and is a certified Fellow.

Before beginning her career in the judicial system, Soles graduated from Turlock High School and interned for the Turlock Police Department.
