One person was detained Monday afternoon following a reported shooting near Turlock Memorial Park, police said.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Lambert Way, a residential area northeast of the cemetery. Turlock police said investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.

As a precaution, Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy—located near the southeast edge of the park—was placed on temporary lockdown. The lockdown was lifted shortly before 4:10 p.m.

Police have not released additional information about the detained individual or what led up to the incident.
