Pair arrested in Turlock drug raid

An investigation by the Turlock Police Department’s drug unit resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure of more than 200 pounds of marijuana.

The Narcotics Enforcement Team and detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Picard Lane Wednesday.

At the residence, investigators found more than 200 pounds of marijuana being processed. Once processed the marijuana would have an estimated street value of over $40,000, according to the police department.

Also at the home investigators seized two firearms, including an illegal assault rifle, and a stun gun.

Arrested at the home were Jaime Blancas, 28, and Ana Blancas, 27.

Jaime Blancas was arrested on suspicion of possession for sales of marijuana, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an assault weapon, felon in possession of a stun gun, and child endangerment.

Ana Blancas was arrested on suspicion of possession for sales of marijuana.
