A man attempting to cross Golden State Boulevard Sunday night was struck by a vehicle and hospitalized.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Golden State Boulevard and Del’s Lane around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The man was walking in a crosswalk against the red pedestrian signal when he was struck by a vehicle that was driving northbound on Golden State Boulevard and had a green light, said Turlock Police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

The man sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported to a hospital in Modesto.

The driver of the vehicle stopped and stayed at the scene, Webb said. Alcohol and/or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the collision.
