TPD

The Turlock Police Department is looking to identify and catch the man who robbed a Turlock business early Monday morning.

The robbery happened at 8:18 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Countryside Drive.

The victim of the robbery was unlocking the front door of the business, when a man rushed up behind him and stuck an object in his back, which was believed to be a gun, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The robber ordered the victim inside and told him to open the safe and put the contents in the robber’s backpack.

The victim complied with the robber’s demand and was then ordered to lay down on the floor, as the robbery suspect ran out the back door.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing a face mask, hooded sweatshirt with a bright colored construction type vest.

Officers are reviewing camera footage in an attempt to locate and identify the suspect.
