Suspect found with drugs, weapons, ammo

A man reportedly creating a disturbance at a Turlock restaurant was arrested by Turlock police officers on a variety of drug and weapon charges.

Around 3 a.m. Tuesday officers responded to the Almond Tree Restaurant at 2243 Lander Ave. for the report of a man creating a disturbance.

Officers found Jorge Perez, 48, at the restaurant. Perez was on probation and a search of his person revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine, four knives and ammunition, according to the police report.

Perez allegedly struggled with the officers, but was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

Perez was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of concealed daggers, possession of ammunition, resisting arrest and a probation violation.
