Suspected drug smuggler caught in Turlock

A suspect wanted by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department on multiple drug charges, was apprehended Wednesday morning in Turlock.

Several Turlock Police Department officers were called upon Wednesday morning to serve the arrest warrant for Eilbaron Gevergizian, 33, in the 2700 block of N. Olive Avenue.

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department wanted Gevergizian on a $250,000 warrant for various narcotics and smuggling charges. Investigators learned he was in Turlock and asked the police department to take him into custody.

Gevergizian was taken into custody without incident. During a subsequent search of the residence, officers found two ounces of heroin. A possession of heroin charge was added to the criminal charges against Gevergizian.
