The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at a Turlock residence in connection to a homicide.

The warrant was served in the 1100 block of East Avenue early Wednesday morning by the sheriff’s department Special Weapons and Tactics team.

Sheriff spokesman Sgt. Keith Rakoncza said the warrant was served as part of an ongoing investigation into a homicide, but would not elaborate on which homicide it involved.

Several people were detained at the home, but no arrests were made.
