A man, who was successful in stealing merchandise from a Turlock store one day, returned the next day with the same plan, only to end up in handcuffs.

The Turlock Police Department said Ramon Saavedra, 20, stole items from the Target store at 3000 Countryside Dr. on Tuesday. He returned to the store around 5 p.m. Wednesday and was in the process of taking more merchandise when he was caught.

According to the police department, Saavedra stacked up the items he was planning to steal by an exit, which he fled out of, getting caught on video surveillance in the process.

On Wednesday the loss prevention agents were making a report for the stolen merchandise when Saavedra returned to the store. The agents witnessed Saavedra conceal merchandise and as he headed for the same exit he was apprehended.

Saavedra was charged with burglary for both thefts.
