The Turlock Police Department is investigating a near drowning incident that almost claimed the life of a two-year-old girl. The near drowning was reported around 5 p.m. Monday at a home in the 300 block of Gikas Lane. According to the Turlock Police Department, the child had been allowed to play in the backyard where a pool was located.
