A report of a large fight turned out to be a domestic disturbance that resulted in the arrest of a Turlock man, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Around 9:45 p.m. Monday the police department received a report of a large fight, possibly involving up to 15 people occurring in the 1500 block of N. Palm Street.

The first officers to arrive at the scene found that the disturbance was actually between a boyfriend and girlfriend, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues.

It’s unknown what started the dispute, but according to the police report Christopher Henderson, 19, pushed and scratched the victim and allegedly tried to choke her at one point.

Henderson was taken into custody for felony domestic battery.
