Turlock man charged with Delhi robbery

A Turlock man was arrested by the Merced County Sheriff's Department on allegations of identity theft and armed robbery.

Mark Padilla, 28, was taken into custody Tuesday. The Turlock Police Department assisted investigators by serving a search warrant at Padilla's residence in the 1000 block of High Street.

A delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint around 11 p.m. Feb. 16 on Vincent Road in Delhi. The sheriff's department detectives assigned to the case soon identified Padilla as the suspect.

Padilla was booked into the Merced County Sheriff's Department on charges of robbery and identity theft.
