Turlock Police seek help in identifying deceased man

The Turlock Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found dead by the railroad tracks and is asking for the public’s help in discovering his identity.

At 8:18 a.m. Saturday the police department responded to a report of a body near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks at Golden State Boulevard and Fulkerth Road.

The body of an unidentified white male was found alongside the railroad tracks. The cause of death is still being investigated, said Turlock Police Sgt. Stephen Webb.

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male. He was approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 to 150 pounds, with dark blond or brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be approximately 16 to 21 years old. He was wearing a gray and white plaid shirt, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
