The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in a solo motorcycle crash on Monday as Joseph Sandoval, 61.

The coroner’s office stated Sandoval was from Turlock, while the California Highway Patrol news release listed his town of residence as Denair.

Sandoval died Monday afternoon at Memorial Medical Center from injuries he sustained in the solo accident at Central Avenue, near the intersection with Hilmar Road in the outskirts of Turlock.

Sandoval was driving a 2006 Yamaha RS southbound on Central Avenue when for an unknown reason he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle. It’s unknown at this time how fast the motorcycle was travelling at the time of the accident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
