Woman confronted by armed suspect at Turlock gas station
TPD

The Turlock Police Department is investigating an attempted carjacking from early Saturday morning at a gas station.

The female victim had stopped at a gas station in the 800 block of N. Golden State Boulevard around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The woman told officers she started putting gas in her 2016 Honda Accord and was sitting in her car while it filled up.

A Hispanic male adult, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, approached her vehicle and she said she locked her car door.

The man pulled out a handgun and tried to open the car door. He then tapped the window, but did not say anything, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The woman refused to open the door and the man fled on foot.

The suspect has not been identified at this point, however, evidence showed the man was associated with a white pick-up in the area.
