CSU Stanislaus to host financial aid workshop

College can be costly, but California State University, Stanislaus will hold a free Feb. 8 Cash for College Workshop to help prospective students learn how to pay for their education.
The workshop, hosted by the CSU Stanislaus Financial Aid Office, will relate information on the types of financial aid available and how to apply. Attendees will learn how to file the 2010-11 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Cal Grant GPA verification forms for the upcoming college year, and CSU Stanislaus Financial Aid staff will be available for questions.
Current high school seniors who attend will be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship drawing, to be held this spring.
The Cash for College Workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 8 in Room 130 of the Mary Stuart Rogers Educational Services Gateway Building at CSU Stanislaus, One University Circle, Turlock. All students and parents, including high school seniors and prospective college students, are invited to attend. Directions are available online at http://web.csustan.edu/directories/Maps/
