Stanislaus State welcomed a couple of new faces recently following the Division of University Advancement’s announcement to appoint Kevin Brunk as the new Director for Major Gifts and Mary Hartsfield as new Director of Annual Giving.

Brunk, a long-time Oakdale resident who graduated from Cal Poly with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, comes to Stanislaus State with nearly 30 years of experience and expertise in fundraising, sales and account management, business development, sponsorship, volunteer development and team leadership.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the University Advancement team here at Stan State, and look forward to contributing to the praiseworthy work of providing students and the University with greater resources to continue the academic excellence and top notch environment our University provides,” said Brunk.

Hartsfield previously worked for six years at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where she was in charge of overseeing all operating functions and reporting systems in support of the hospital’s comprehensive fundraising program. In excess of $9.5 million was raised during her time at Emanuel. Emanuel utilized the “team concept” approach similar to the one used by Stanislaus State in its successful One Purpose annual campaign, devoted solely to scholarships for student success.

“I am excited to have the privilege of engaging campus and community members in One Purpose to afford them the unique opportunity to support student success and feed into the region’s workforce,” said Hartsfield.
