Students win national human resource scholarships

Three California State University, Stanislaus students took home a total of $15,000 in scholarships from the 2009 Society for Human Resource Management conference in New Orleans.
CSU Stanislaus Human Resources Management students Crystal Gutierrez of Turlock, Tabitha Lilly of Victorville, and Demetrios Zarefakis of Lodi each won National Society for Human Resource Management Internship Scholarships worth $5,000 each. The scholarships provide funding to pay for summer internships at a company or public agency in the university’s region.
The three CSU Stanislaus scholarship winners are doing summer internships with the City of Modesto’s Human Resources Department.
