First Step Dental held its annual elementary school field trip day on Friday.  Schools were invited to bring the children so they can see what happens during a normal visit to the dentist's office. Knowing what will happen before they have their first dental appointment can prevent children from being scared of the dentist.

 "We like to bring awareness to the community during Dental Health Month," said practice manager Debbie Silveira.  "The children have fun here and they like to come back for a regular visit without being worried or scared."

February is Dental Health month, but First Step Dental will provide more field trips for schools throughout the spring.
