THS Navy JROTC hosts annual Bulldog Challenge

Turlock High School’s Navy JROTC program hosted its 4th annual Bulldog Challenge Field Meet on Saturday. Thirteen Central Valley schools from Dinuba to Stockton converged at THS for an all-day athletic, academic and air rifle competition. Over 700 students competed in various events such volleyball, soft ball, tug-o-war, mile relay and the very tough SEAL challenge or Ironman/Ironwoman competition. Ten of the schools competed in a Brain Brawl academic competition and cardboard boat race. THS’ NJROTC brought home the first place trophy in academics, and the Bulldog air rifle team remains undefeated in competitions for the 2016-2017 season. Weston Ranch High Army JROTC took home the overall competition first place trophy.
