The Turlock Christian and Pitman high school wind ensembles joined forces this past weekend for a performance at the Sousa Band Festival on March 24, participating in an exclusive music event at the Concert Hall of Washington, D.C.’s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. On the days they weren’t performing, the students visited tourist attractions like the Smithsonian Zoo, the National Archives Museum and the various monuments around D.C., even stopping to meet with Congressman Josh Harder for a picture on the Capitol’s east side steps.
