Carnegie set to host a super soiree
superhero

The Carnegie Arts Center is sending out a signal to all caped crusaders, masked avengers, and guardians of the galaxy to put on their dancing shoes and join them for the Superhero Soiree.

The event for Oct. 19 is looking to put the fun in fundraising at the Carnegie Arts Center. The night will have dancing by Marson Brothers DJs, food and drinks from The Udder Place, Blaker Brewing, and E&J Gallo Winery. There will be raffle prizes and opportunities to take photos with Wonder Woman and Batman.

The event is for those 21 and over. Costumes are not required, but creative attire is encouraged.

Proceeds benefit the Express Yourself: Justin Ferrari Youth Arts Fund supporting scholarships, field trips and other arts education activities at the Carnegie.

The Superhero Soiree is held in connection with the “My Hero! Contemporary Art & Superhero Action.” exhibit at the Carnegie Arts Center. It celebrates and re-envisions the possibilities that exist when you are a superhero. With images that range from humorous to tragic, artists explore the fascination with iconic heroes and challenge the ways in which they are typically perceived.

Tickets for the event are available at Eventbrite, at the Carnegie Arts Center, or by phone (209) 632-5761, ext. 104.
