Conservation tips from TID

Turlock Irrigation District (TID) supplies power to City of Turlock residents. They also provide a list of energy-saving tips to use throughout the summer months to save not only energy, but money as well. Use these tips to lower your monthly electric bill this summer.

Energy Saving Tips to stay cool this summer from TID:

·         Keep blinds closed to keep the heat out.

·         Use a ceiling fan instead of your central air conditioning unit when possible.

·         Change out your air filters regularly. An air conditioning unit with dirty filters can use 5 to 10 percent more energy than necessary.

·         Seal drafty doors and windows to keep cool air inside your home.

TID also has a variety of rebates they offer for being energy efficient around-the-house. For more information, visit their website: https://www.tid.org/customer-service/save-energy-money/rebates/
