Home Water Survey Kit helps residents identify ways to save water

The City of Turlock offers a free Home Water Survey Kit for residents to help them assess water use at home. The kits are a useful tool to help customers see how efficient they are with their water use as well as identify areas for improvement.

The Home Water Survey Kit contains the following:

· Leak Detection & Water Meter Information

· Indoor Water Use Analysis Worksheets

· Appliance Efficiency & Leak Check Guide

· Outdoor Water Use Analysis Worksheets

· Landscape Irrigation References

· Water Conservation Resources

· Flow Meter Bag

· Toilet Tank Leak Detecting Tablets

· Survey Results Response Form

Some features of the water survey kit are helping customers determine how much water they use when taking showers, baths, washing dishes, and doing laundry. The Kit also provides customers with step by step instructions on how to check for showerhead, faucet, and toilet leaks. Those who complete the home water survey and submit the Survey Results Response Form, are eligible to receive free water conservation devices such as; aerators and low-flow shower heads.
