Winter is approaching, time to adjust watering schedules
conservation corner pic

Fall is here and temperatures are dropping! With the change in season comes a new watering schedule. The City of Turlock’s winter watering schedule will go into effect Nov. 1 and will continue until Feb. 28. The winter watering schedule limits outdoor watering to only one day per week, with even numbered addresses watering on Saturday only and odd numbered addresses watering on Sunday only. Watering will still be prohibited between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The City of Turlock encourages customers to turn off their sprinklers during the fall and winter months. Shorter days, cooler temperatures and plant dormancy are all reasons to stop or significantly reduce landscape watering. As a reminder, there is no watering during or within 48 hours after measurable rainfall.

For questions or additional information, contact Municipal Services at (209) 668-5590 or visit the City of Turlock website at: www.cityofturlock.org. Brought to you by the City of Turlock Municipal Services Department.

WATER CONSERVATION TIP #70
