MoChiMu After Dark
The Modesto Children’s Museum will hold its next adults-only After Dark event from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

MoChiMu After Dark: The Modesto Children’s Museum will hold its next adults-only After Dark event from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. This month’s theme is Superheroes & Science. Participants will be able to explore the museum’s super-ified exhibits without the kids while also harnessing the powers of levitation, flight, elasticity, weather control, and more through hands-on activities and crafts. Kat Cressida: Voice actress Kat Cressida will stop by Utopia Games and Collectibles in Modesto on Friday and Saturday to sign autographs and share a few haunting tales from her legendary horror voice roles, before making a guest appearance at Turlock Comic Con at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds on Monday. Cressida has voiced beloved characters including Dee Dee from “Dexter’s Laboratory,” Jessie from “Toy Story,” and Elektra from “Marvels Assassin.”

Open Cockpit Day: Castle Air Museum will hold its fall Open Cockpit Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Visitors can see over 70 years of aviation history up close and in-person, with many of the aircraft open for viewing. The event will also include military and police/fire demonstrations, helicopter rides and food vendors. Admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for children ages 6 to 17 and free for children under 6. The museum is located at 5050 Santa Fe Dr., Atwater.

Arts & Crafts Fair: The Indigenous Arts & Crafts Fair will be hosted by the Sierra Program and the Indigenous Peoples Alliance Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Modesto Junior College’s West Campus, Lot 210, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto. The event will feature music, traditional and contemporary artwork, and handmade arts.

Melodies & Mimosas: The Queen Bean Coffee House will host a Melodies & Mimosas event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, featuring the Sipsey River Band with their deep-cut blues and a special set from the Cody & Tony Duo. Queen Bean is located at 1126 14th St., Modesto.
