Christmas at the Fair
The San Joaquin Fairgrounds is playing host to a full-on holiday festival throughout the weekend with carnival rides, ice skating, lighted miniature golf and more.

Christmas at the Fair: The San Joaquin Fairgrounds is playing host to a full-on holiday festival throughout the weekend with carnival rides, ice skating, lighted miniature golf and more. Children under 18 are free admission with their parents and adult tickets are $15 at the door. The fairgrounds are located at 1658 S. Airport Way, Stockton. Saturday Studio: The Carnegie Arts Center will host an open studio session from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No preregistration required. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.

The Wizard of Oz: The State Theatre in downtown Modesto will show the iconic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz” at 2 p.m. Friday. Join Dorothy as she finds herself in a magical world where she makes friends with a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives.
