Christmas at the Fair: The San Joaquin Fairgrounds is playing host to a full-on holiday festival throughout the weekend with carnival rides, ice skating, lighted miniature golf and more. The Wizard of Oz: The State Theatre in downtown Modesto will show the iconic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz” at 2 p.m. Friday. Join Dorothy as she finds herself in a magical world where she makes friends with a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives.
