: The 46th annual Turlock Downtown Christmas Parade will be held Friday.

Christmas Parade: The 46th annual Turlock Downtown Christmas Parade will be held Friday. This year’s theme is Gingerbread Dreamland. The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and start at E. Main Street and Canal Drive and make its way west down Main Street and then turn north on Broadway towards the fairgrounds. The parade will feature dozens of lighted entries from local businesses, schools, nonprofit organizations and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus.

Holiday POPS!: The Modesto Symphony Orchestra will perform its annual Holiday POPS! concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gallo Center for the Arts in downtown Modesto. Vocalist and pianist Tony DeSare joins Principal Pops Conductor Ryan Murray and the MSO Chorus for a program full of jazzy holiday favorites and plenty of yuletide cheer. For tickets, visit galloarts.org.

Wellness Art Club: Led by Recreational Therapist Jesse Hunt, the Wellness Art Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Carnegie Arts Center. Each meeting will include artmaking as a coping skill and lifestyle lessons to support positive mental health. Pre-registration suggested but not required; drop-ins welcome. Cookie Walk: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1528 Oakdale Rd., Modesto. The event will include craft vendors and, of course, cookies! For more information or tickets, call 209-522-3267.

Parade of Lights: The City of Modesto will host its annual holiday parade at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. This year’s theme is: “Elves just want to have fun.” The parade will start at 14th and I streets and travel west on I Street, north on 10th Street and east on J Street to 17th Street. A tree lighting ceremony will begin immediately following the parade at 10th Street Plaza.
