Science Night: The Great Valley Museum will hold its monthly Science Night at the Museum from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. The event includes planetarium shows, telescope viewing, activities in the Discovery Room and more. The museum is located at 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto.

Wellness Art Club: The Carnegie Arts Center will host the Wellness Art Club from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Led by Recreational Therapist Jesse Hunt, each meeting will include artmaking as a coping skill and lifestyle lessons to support positive mental health. Poe Speakeasy: The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy returns to Modesto on Friday and Saturday. This 21+ only chilling cocktail experience takes place inside a dark speakeasy. Four of Poe’s most famous stories will be retold and reimagined by our Poe historians. A macabre lead mixologist will transform each of those stories into a 4-part cocktail experience. Paws & Pints: The 4th annual Paws & Pints will be held Saturday at Dying Breed Brewing in Oakdale starting at 12 noon. This event will feature live music, food, vendors, raffles and adoptable cats and dogs. Dying Breed is located at 963 Shepard Court, Oakdale.

Great American Crooners: Jazz at Lincoln Center presents Great American Crooners will be at the Gallo Center for the Arts in downtown Modesto at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Great American Crooners focuses on quintessential crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Bobby Darin, whose velvety voices and sentimental serenades made them superstars on stage and on screen.
