The plunge is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Riverbank Community Pool, 6649 Seventh St., Riverbank.

Donuts, Coffee & Cartoons: The State Theatre in downtown Modesto will show the Disney Pixar film “Up” as part of the Donuts, Coffee & Cartoons series at 10 a.m. Saturday. But at age 78, life seems to have passed Carl Fredricksen by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. Wellness Art Club: The Carnegie Arts Center will host the Wellness Art Club from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Led by recreational therapist Jesse Hunt, each meeting will include artmaking as a coping skill and lifestyle lessons to support positive mental health.
