The 13th Annual Turlock Garden Club Spring Garden Tour will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10.

Spring Garden Tour:  The 13th Annual Turlock Garden Club Spring Garden Tour will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10. Five home gardens and the Hughson Arboretum will be included on the tour. If you attend all six gardens, you can be entered in a drawing to receive a $200 gift card from The Greenery. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at The Greenery or at www.turlockgardenclub.com.

Spring Garden Party: The Carnegie Arts Center is planning a blooming good time with a Spring Garden Party fundraising event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 9.  Guests will enjoy farm-to-fork catering by Greens, live music and more. Tickets are on sale now at the CAC or on the Eventbrite.com website. Ticket prices are $85 for CAC members and their guests, or $95 general admission. 

Animated Film Series: The Carnegie Arts Center will show “Turning Red” at 1:30 p.m. for the final film in their free Animated Film Series. Arrive early for a free art activity. Concession will be available. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.

Vintage at the Yard: Vintage at the Yard, an open air market at the Fruit Yard in Modesto, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10.  Carefully selected vendors will offer beautifully repurposed art, vintage finds, and collectibles of all kinds.  A variety of local artisans will also be selling handmade creations. Monster Trucks: The Monster Truck Nitro Tour will be rolling into Turlock on May 10. See these incredible 10,000-pound, car crushing giants compete in racing, wheelie contests, and then rock the house with amazing freestyle action at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. Nurses at Emanuel Medical Center, part of the Tenet Healthcare network, took to the streets Thursday evening as part of an “informational picket” to bring attention to their ongoing labor negotiations.
