Science Night: The Great Valley Museum will host its monthly Science Night at the Museum from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. This month’s event will be Halloween themed with a haunted museum, a costume contest and planetarium shows. There will be free museum admission with costume. Out of the Darkness Walk: The Modesto Out of the Darkness Community Walk sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Central Valley chapter will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at Modesto Junior College, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto. Registration can be found at afsp.org/Modesto.
Egyptian Festival: The St. Mark Egyptian Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at 315 Orange Ave., in Ripon. Visitors can enjoy live music and experience the vibrant culture of the Coptic Egyptians.
Wellness Art Club: Recreational therapist Jesse Hunt will lead the next meeting of the Wellness Art Club from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Carnegie Arts Center. The meeting uses artmaking as a coping skill and lifestyle lessons to support positive mental health. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.
