The Turlock Walmart Neighborhood Market at 2480 Geer Road in Turlock is once again open to customers after undergoing a full transformation. On Friday, the store celebrated its grand re-opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the presentation of checks to a number of local organizations.

Following a renovation period of roughly over two months, the 62,000 square-foot Walmart location — opened in 2013 — now has a newly remodeled pharmacy and customer restrooms, expanded walking space, an expanded online pickup and delivery department that the company says can fulfill up to 50% more orders, interactive displays and new signage.

“We're thrilled to re-open our doors and show customers our revamped store,” said store manager Ryan Kroperski. “One of the standout improvements is our expanded online pickup and delivery department, which, in coming weeks, will allow us to fulfill more orders, making shopping more convenient for our customers.”

The renovation is the second the store has undergone since opening in late 2013, as they introduced a remodeled floor plan including the additions of a deli and bakery in 2018.

To celebrate the latest remodel and “as part of Walmart’s dedication to the Turlock community,” Kroperski and store associates presented a $5,000 check to the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department, a check of $2,000 to Valley Children’s Hospital and $1,000 to both Turlock National Little League and Youth for Christ Central Valley.
