Blaze damages RV

A fire inside a recreational vehicle parked in a Turlock neighborhood displaced a 66-year-old man.

There were no injuries reported from the fire.

The fire broke out just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Almond Avenue, according to the Turlock City Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke and flames erupting from the RV.

Within 12 minutes the fire was under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though the fire department reported all evidence at this time points to the fire being an accident.

The blaze caused an estimated $20,000 in damage to the RV and an additional $5,000 for the contents, according to the fire department.

The 66-year-old man who had been staying in the RV told the fire department he had a place he could stay.
