The Turlock Police Department and countless community members came together in order to make Christmas extra special for families in need this year, continuing the Operation Blue Santa tradition despite the pandemic. Blue Santa and officers delivered gift boxes to 32 families for a total of 108 Turlock children this year, and another 20 kids were able to stop by the police department to learn holiday safety tips and pick out some gifts for Christmas. A total of 25 businesses and citizens sponsored Blue Santa this year, wrapping gifts and shopping for children, while others provided monetary donations which helped make the annual event possible.
