Students from northern France enjoyed tennis training at Brenda Athletic Club on Thursday through the Horizons Du Monde program.  The program is set up to send students from France on a 10-day trip to various locations in the United States for homestays that include tours and special activities to learn the culture of the state they are staying in.

"The whole point is to build a cultural bridge between the two countries and to immerse the children into the United States’ culture," said Turlock coordinator for Du Monde, Margo Patterson.

The program will host another round of students for a 10-day trip in April and a three-week trip in the summer.  The program is always in need of host families and those interested can contact Margo Patterson at 535-2534 or Pattie Hettinger at 406-5038.  For more information about Horizons Du Monde visit www.horizonsdumonde.org
