A child car-seat check will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Turlock Public Safety Center, 244 N. Broadway. The event is sponsored by Safe Kids Stanislaus and his hosted by the Turlock Police Department.

Attendees can learn how to install their child’s car seat or booster seat, or find out if it’s time for a new one. Plan on spending about 45 minutes per car seat. Attendees are asked to bring the car seat, the child who rides in that seat, the seat’s instruction manual and the owner’s manual for the vehicle.

Free car seats will be provided to those who qualify (including expectant mothers).
