Since opening their doors on E. Olive Avenue in 2007, the Turlock volunteer operated non-profit Off Center Thrift & Gift has raised $1,169,070 and made dozens of donations to charities throughout Stanislaus and Merced counties.

The Turlock thrift store was so successful, a second location was opened in 2022: Off Center on Bonita.

The thrift store with heart is welcoming the community to an open house event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Off Center Bonita location in honor of National Thrift Shop Day. The store, located at 112 Bonita Ave. in Turlock, offers an inventory of gently used vintage collectibles, furniture, household items, home and garden décor.

Guests during the event will be treated to sips from Inland Roasters and bites from the Cheesey Keesey Charcuterie. Purchases of over $50 will receive one 15-minute free design consultation. The consultation will take place in-store at a pre-scheduled time by viewing photos and video.

Off Center Thrift’s E. Olive Avenue location — which offers gently used clothing, shoes, books, toys, jewelry and home goods — will offer 50% off all merchandise from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.
