Turlock Police Chief Rob Jackson and Turlock Fire Chief Tim Lohman completed the ALS ice bucket challenge Friday by getting drenched with buckets of cold, icy water as they stood in the Columbia Pool. The challenge allowed for the largest donor to have the honor of soaking the chiefs and in the end it was the police explorers who claimed the victory. An exact total of the funds raised is unknown because donations were still being collected, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Some of the funds will be donated to ALS, while a portion of the donations will be given as a gift card to the Turlock family that recently lost three members in a fatal hit and run collision.
