The third annual Christmas on Main market will be held today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., both days.
Typically a two-weekend event, this year the event featured one weekend in Hughson and will conclude this weekend in Turlock.
More than 100 vendors are expected to be on hand, selling candles, wreaths, flowers, jewelry, clothes, wood crafts, and more.
“Really, if you need to do any last-minute Christmas shopping, this is the place to do it,” said Adrina Silveira, who co-founded the event with Stephanie Torres; together they operate the Turlock Market held each Saturday. “Our regular market was super busy and really blew up this year. We’re excited to see the growth continue year after year.”
Christmas on Main will take place, naturally, on Main Street between First and Market streets. Follow @TheTurlockMarket on Instagram for weather updates.
Santa Claus will be at the market both days from 10 to 3, with Modern Moments Luxury Photo Booth on hand for pictures. Santa’s elves will also be there, helping kids do arts and crafts, including making reindeer food.
There will also be live music both days, with multi-instrumentalist Scott Beck appearing from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, and the band Us4Love appearing Sunday in that same time slot.
“We’ll have some really good food, and several different coffee vendors and some hot chocolate booths for the kids,” said Silveira. “We’ll have a few different sourdough vendors, too.”
The popular Sweet Flakes and Dough, and Tofu and Tales Cafe are also expected to be there this weekend.
