The crew at Lancaster Paint completed their 9th annual Paint it Forward project on Saturday, giving the United Way of Stanislaus County building in Modesto a much-needed makeover. The Turlock-based residential and commercial paint company seeks nominations from the community each year for businesses, organizations or families in need of a complimentary paint job. The Lancaster employees vote for the winning nomination at their annual Christmas party. This year, it was the United Way that won the Paint it Forward project of 2019.

Along with the Lancaster Paint crew and their families, the project was completed with the help of Sherwin Williams and Paul’s Paint, which donated all the paint and supplies; Jane Smith, who donated a color consultation; and Mike Vincent who made sure the crew was well fed.
“Honestly without people in our community we wouldn't be where we are without them. This is just a way for us to give back where we can,” said Jennifer Gonzalez of Lancaster Paint.
