The official trailer for “Christian Mingle,” the Corbin Bernsen led project filmed in part in Turlock, has officially been released and includes plenty of shots from locales around town.

The trailer introduces the audience to Gwyneth, the 30-something woman who has found her stride in life in all things but love. Worried she will never meet “the one” Gwyneth turns to dating site Christian Mingle and signs herself up. She meets Paul and feels an instant connection. But Gwyneth’s budding romance is put in jeopardy because of her embellished claims of faith.

The film is expected to be released mid October.

The two minute and 23 seconds trailer shows several spots around Turlock used during filming, including a stroll along Main Street, shopping in Ritzy Ragz & Thingz, and the all important first date inside Lisa’s Cookie Jar.

“I’m really pleased with how it turned out,” said Turlock Film Commission founder and Creation Lab partner Michael Everett, who has been heavily involved in the making of the film. “I had pretty high hopes for it and I think it is even better than I expected. It is definitily worthy of being in a theater.”

The TFC was able to entice Bernsen and his production company Home Theatre Films, to choose Turlock after giving him a tour of the city and showing off the photogenic appeal, especially that of Main Street, which was used extensively in the three weeks of filming in 2013.

It also didn’t hurt that from the very beginning the film was garnering overwhelming support from the community. Casting calls for extras and crew members brought out more than a thousand individuals hoping to be a part of movie magic.

The film is written and directed by Bernsen.

The film stars Lacey Chabert as Gwyneth. Chabert first tasted fame on the hit television series “Party of Five” and later as as Gretchen Wieners in the hit movie “Mean Girls.” More recently, Chabert has voiced the character of Meg on the hit animation show “Family Guy.”

The cast includes Jonathan Patrick Moore (“L.A. Complex,” “William and Kate”), Stephen Tobolowsky (“Groundhog Day”), John O’Hurley (“Seinfeld,” “All My Children), and Morgan Fairchild (“Falcon Crest,” “Friends,” “Holy Man.”).
